Title: G1 sniper M5 frontpanel audio issues
Post by: feraty on September 17, 2013, 10:04:27 pm
Good afternoon,

I have recently bought a G1 sniper M5 motherboard with an Intel i7-4770k Cpu.

Since I'm using this motherboard I'm not able to use the frontpanel Microphone( doesn't detect )
I have already updated my bios from F4 to F7 but it didn't solve the problem.

when the headset is pluged in to the backside it is fully functional

The products I use are:
I7-4770K
G1 Sniper M5
Inno3D GTX770
Silverstone PS07B m-ATX case

Hi Feraty,

please make sure that your front panel connectors are correctly connected to the motherboard. Once it is connected correctly, unplug everything from the mic in, and reinstall the windows drivers. After you have done that, go into the windows sound settings, and make sure that the correct device is selected as the primary device (there will be a HD Audio, and a regular audio device)

If all of that doesn't help, then you might want to contact gigabyte for an RMA.

Good luck
