Title: Gigabyte vs ASUS
Post by: Craig 125 on September 23, 2013, 09:16:35 pm
My last build at the office used the 970A-D3 mobo with a blah AMD CPU which is OK for word processing. I'm taking more care with this build for my home. My most intensive work will be home video editing (no gaming). Tiger and Newegg sales prefer ASUS when asked. Does Gigabyte have advantages over ASUS or are they about equal?

I'll probably get the i5 3470, and I'm thinking either GA-H77M-D3H or GA-Z77X-UD3H (2 video ports... and cool black finish)

Thanks

One other place to check is Micro Center. If you have one near you might be able to get better price than the other two.

On the two bands if it was ten yrs ago I would said Gigabyte hands down. But today it really doesn't matter.

Good to know about Gigabyte. I'll stick with that over ASUS since I'm familiar with the company now.

I never thought about micro center beating tiger or newegg. I'll check them out.

Thanks
