Hi i had a shop put me together a new pc i have got GA-MA790FXT-UD5P with amd 965 125w be and ati hd 890 card from the start it would give me lots of bsod i have tried ever thing i can think of the one thing i have found is the power going to the board looks ok then i saw the power i think is for the cpu ? it has 8 pins but i have only got 4 pins going into it should there be power going to all the pines ? i hope this make sence .

Yes power must go to all 8 pins or the motherboard will not boot
Antec 550+ might be the best deal for a power supply, although with only 1 video card-- :o you need 1000 watts for two video cards, or it is recommended.

Thank you it does boot and runs ok just that its very unstable are the 8 pin for for the cpu ?
