Hey guys!
I was thinking about upgrading my processor from an AMD brisbane 5200+ to a AMD Phenom II X2 550. I was looking around, and I saw that there was a bios update for the GA-MA770-DS3 motherboard that gave support for AM3 processors. The only problem I'm encountering with this is that I have Windows 7 x64. I can't seem to find a bios update that is supported by windows 7 x64. Any of you guys have suggestions ? Thanks.

Oh yes, another note. I have Rev 1.0. I've been doing my research and that is in fact AM3 compatible. Anyway, I've been trying to get the F8F bios update. When I try to install, the error "unsupported 16-bit application." Why the heck am I getting that when this is clearly for a 64 bit processor ??

If you want to update the BIOS use the q-flash utility. Don't do it within windows.
