I did not see a search box here, so I'm posting blind.
I have 2 x 1gb ballistix pc3 - 12800 cl8 1.65 volt which I replaced with:
1 x 4gb G.SKILL RIPJAWS DDr3 1600 PC3 12800 CL9-9-9-24 1.5v.
Common sense and the manual infer that the 1gb sticks go in dd3-1 and ddr3-2
and the 4 gb stick in either ddr3-3 or dd3r-4. Does it matter which?
First off, will this work on a 64bit Win7 Ultra?
Next, will I see 6GB total memory?
Are they dissimilar enough not to attempt this??
Thanx ;)
CPU is AMD Athlon II X4 630

It is not going to run dual channel either was so put the 2 x 1 gig sticks in the first two slots then the 4 gig in the next.

Okay...
