Hi Guys.
Having a bit of trouble with this new build. Got a new I7-4771 and the GA-Z87-D3HP motherboard, but it will not post at all! The thing boots, doesn't post just reboots after a couple of seconds. I was wondering if it was the BIOS version perhaps as it says on the website that the processor is supported from F4. How do I tell what mine shipped with, all the sticker on the box says is the serial number, "Check Number 8176" and that it is revision 1.0.
Would this even stop the machine from posting?
Thanks

do you have other cpu to check?
F5 bios support 4771.
if your bios version is not f5, you may need to update bios to check.

Hi, thanks for the response. I don't have another CPU to try out. If the BIOS is not the newer version would this stop it from posting 100%? I am trying to work out if there is an actual defective piece of kit. Also, do I need to send the motherboard back and get a refund or is there some way I can get one with a newer BIOS if this is the case?
Thanks
