Title: GA-F2A75M-HD2 1.0 F4 Update causing AMD A4-5300 to heat up
Post by: TNTS on October 14, 2013, 11:44:11 am
My CPU ran nice and cool at 2 degrees Celsius on idle and 75 degrees Celsius on heavy load but after the F4 update it ran hotter and 58 degrees Celsius on idle and 74 degrees Celsius on installing a small program like Paint .NET

Here are HWMonitor x64 Temps:

OS: Windows 8.1 RTM x64

More like it straighten the temp readings out. I doubt if it was really running at 2c. Unless u had it under dry ice or in a freezer.

The cooler that comes with is more than enough.
It s between 40-55 Celsius usually with that.
If there is more check the cooler maybe has a defect and it s not making proper contact with the heatspreader of the CPU.
You can get even less heat my adjusting the CPU LLC to medium for example or lower.
