You will have to go back to older bios to fix it. I'm running the same board, But my board isn't up to date on the bios.

There isn't any secure boot coming up on my screen. It is the newer bios F16 that is causing the problem.

If you are on F16 they do have a newer bios from Tweak Town

Newer: http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios.html

Older: http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios-4.html#post270610

That cannot be done .

The  F16  will only rum my i7 4820

the older bios will not run my cpu

AS I first thought ..

the update you gave me didn't change a thing .

and I am not sure that I wanna be your tester boy . at the risk of my pc .

already you have given such bad advise already   like ,    you wrote: Have you try the onboard VGA? Does the problem still persist?

When this is no  onboard VGA with this mortherboard .

then you gave me this advise :

Please go to BIOS Setup\BIOS Feature\Secure Boot Mode set to Custom.
Then you will see “key management” option.

Press enter into key management to set “default key provisioning” to enabled.
Save and exit.

guess what that almost bricked my board .  I had to force start my back up ..

and now you get me to update a test bios ......

which don't work ..

what ever next from GIGABYTE SURPORT

the best way to contact with their support is to raise a ticket at: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/technical-support.aspx
here we can just discuss the problems between us

fortunately i am not in this crazy path of upgrading everything to the latest like win 8.1, iOS7 etc.  ;D  it just causes more problems then it's worth. i prefer to save my time for more funny hobbies

asap .

3 weeks iv been in contact with your tech support

3 weeks of try this try that ..

then had to come on here . to ask .

so why now should I trust your tech support .

asking me to plug into the VGA   when the Ga-x79 ud3 does not have a on board VGA ..   what sort of advise is that .

then asking me to go back to a older bios  , when I am running the i7 4820k

again what sort of advise is that .

then aking me to  Press enter into key management to set “default key provisioning” to enabled.

and that stopped the motherboard from booting up at all ....   once again what sort of advise is that ..

it goes on and on
Save and exit.

Hi

You know that is mostly a user to user forum. This isn't tech support. Yes the Mods can talk to tech support, but tech support doesn't really come here.

I'm sorry you are having problems with secure boot. But it has been pointed out that is mostly cause by your VIDEO CARD on other threads.

The next thing is you really never put up any spec on your computer other than you had a GA-x79-UD3.

So in a way we can only help on what you have put up. I think if you had put up some spec the first time maybe the advice would have been different.

Again I'm sorry that you are having a problem , but people here are only trying help with what you have told us.

Plus it isn't really all Gigabytes fault. Microsoft is the one that really cause this problem with windows 8. Plus are you talking to Microsoft on this one too.

no you misunderstand

it has been the tech support that has been giving me all them advise ..

and that is why I came on here to ask

Microsoft might be at fault ...  But then again

Gigabyte   Don't put a sticker on the board saying windows 8.1 Ready ..    when in fact it is not quite ready is it

The thing is I'm running that same board.Yes I'm not running a 4820 but the 3820 and not having any problems.

I'll let in on something and I usually don't people this. But I'm with the Microsoft Partners program.

I'm only testing it and at this point in time I will wait till they really fix all the problems with it.

They are already working on the next fix. People are still pretty mad with this OS no matter if it is 8 or 8.1.

I don't know what Video card you are using but if it does support UEFI make sure it is set in the bios for UEFI and not legacy.

Graphics Cards KFA2 GTX 650 TI BOOST 2GB GDDR5

This could be the problem that it doesn't support UEFI. I was looking and there is no bios update for it. You could talk to their support about it.

Or the only thing is the bios update that runn3R is posting might help. I know you don't want to try it.

But if the bios works or doesn't work or it does brick the MB Gigabyte will stand behind. Other than that I don't know else to say sorry.
