Well I have a socket AM3 GA-880GM-D2H AMD 880G Motherboard. I currently have an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T installed on it running great. I recently had 2 nice AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz Socket AM3+ processors fall into my lap. I think it would be sweet if I could put the FX processor in it but I've seen mixed emotions on it around the web. From what I understand the processor will physically fit but no one says if the processor will actually run correctly or not. I also saw a lot talking about BIOS updates could make it work. Has anyone actually put and AM3+ in an AM3 socket and had it work correctly?

It is not on the support list for any revision of that board so it wont work. You can try emailing gigabyte support to see if they have a bios that would make it work.
