Title: no sound

finally got the driver to install, but still have no sound,

any ideas

How about a little more information. Like what drivers you are looking for what motherboard you have and what operating system you have. just the littel things to help us help you.

Or you could download and install driver sweeper then use device manager to uninstall drivers and any software then start in safe mode and start driver sweeper and uninstall any sound drivers then restart and try re installing them. as a best guess with the info you provided.
