Title: Batman Arkham Origins Crashed With Black Screen. Had to perform a hard reset

Hi guys. While completely immersed in playing Batman Arkham Origins, the game suddenly crashed with a black screen and it just stood there. I was not re - directed to my desktop, I had to perform a hard reset of my PC only then was I able to resume playing the game. Here are my desktop specifications:
 
i5 3570k at stock speeds
Gigabyte R9 280 X at stock speeds ( driver version 13.11 beta 8 )
4 GB RAM
ASROCK Z77 Fatality MOBO
Xigmatek Tauro 600 W PSU
 
Was it a problem in the game and am I just being paranoid?

Your power supply is FISHY.
Swap for something better.
