Today I had a very strange problem.
When I booted my pc and tried to enter the bios environment my screen remained black and
the cursur was blinking error code was A9.
Tried to boot from the back up bios but no go, than cleared the bios cmos no go than removed
DVD 2 hd's and only booted with the Plextor M5pro SSD NO GO.
Removed the SSD and than I was able to enter the Bios reconnected the ssd and other
hd's and dvd and now windows 8.1 boots.
Achi is set and the boot sequence is set at other Os, installed OS via MBR since GPT mode
gave the the watermark error.
So has anybody any idea what is causing the bios the freeze up completely, back bios not working
and only when I remove the ssd I'am able to enter the bios.
Thanks for feedback and suggestions.

Tks. for the link.
Have meanwhile installed Beta Bios F8mod and this allows me to enter the bios without the problem.
Will monitor same the coming days.
In respect to installing W 8.1 is GPT prefered over MBR?
tks.
