Title: X79-UD5 f13w incorrect mem
Post by: J Lamp on November 08, 2013, 11:59:36 pm
Since updating to f13w both of my Win 7 installs are reporting 60gb mem as opposed to the correct value of 64. It seems the the stick in slot 6 reports as 4gb. In the bios all sticks are showing up as 8gb.

Any thoughts on a fix or should I return to f13p (which worked fine.)

Why did you update the bios because it was there? Or did you have a problem? My saying is if it is broke don't fix it.  ;)

I would go back to the other bios. I don't update any thing unless I really have too. You always take chance when updating the bios even if you need too or not.

Yeah, 'cause it was there  :-\

I figured it not being a beta and supporting the new Intel chips would be an improvement. I guess not.

It seems though that I can't "downgrade" to 13p, @bios, Q-Flash and EfiFlash are all telling me no.

Does anyone have a solution to this? I understand that there is an older version of @bios floating around (2.32) but I've had no luck finding it.

Well, it just goes to show you, with enough time, caffeine and an OCD type personality you can find anything on the internet.

I discovered this address about half way down a page from the Gigabyte forum in France (no, I don’t speak French)

http://ggts.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/1405620/atbios232.rar

I’m now back to f13p and everything is working fine again.  ;D

I also contacted Gigabyte tech support, just so they’re aware of it.

I have a logitech g600 mouse, and it works... but its jumpy (if thats a word). atleast it works because my mouse did not work with anyother bios version. and i tried multiple mice.
