Hi,
I have a X79-UP4 with 64 GB of DDR3 memory installed (8x8).
in the BIOS it displays "Total Memory Size" as 65536 MB on the M.I.T page.
On the system information page "Total Memory" is 61440 MB
Is this expected? or is there something wrong?
Thanks

What does it say when you are in windows. If is saying 64gb I wouldn't worry about it to much.
What I would do is remove one stick at a time from each slot. But leaving the other sticks in.
Just to see if the reading does start matching each other. But remember you will have to leave a stick in slot one.
I don't know if the computer will boot without that stick in slot one.

Thanks,
After a few reboots (for other things) it came good and shows 65535 in both and windows shows 64GB as well (it wasn't before)
Will keep an eye on it, and test the memory if it happens again
