Title: motherboard_driver_ahci_nvidia_mcp68_bootdisk_win7-64bit
Post by: nicoli on November 25, 2013, 08:11:46 pm
Mobo - Ga-M68M-S2P (rev. 2.3)
Bios: FC
OS: Win 7 ultimate 64bit
Question: Does the update driver "motherboard_driver_ahci_nvidia_mcp68_bootdisk_win7-64bit" allow Ga-M68M-S2p (rev. 2.3)  mother board to enable AHCI mode?
How do I properly install this update?

Ga-M68M-S2P (rev. 2.3)

According to the Gigabyte FAQs for that motherboard:
Does it support AHCI?
NVIDIA chipset does not support AHCI.

AHCI mode (if available) would be enabled in BIOS.  The device driver wouldn't enable it as such, it would make it functional once enabled.

It says it doesn't however why would there be a update for it?
Does that only apply in raid mode?
