Post by: nanobiba on December 03, 2013, 10:06:36 pm
Hello im using win7x64 prof but only 2 tb where shown. What can i do? I know i need a uefi bios but i cant find one for my board. The 3tb+ tool from gigabyte seems to be only for x32. I spended 2 days to set up the system when i realised it.  >:( Oh please help me. The drive is a wd red series with 3 tb and i need to boot from it. Oh and i used ide mode at the install not ahci. Is that a problem? Do i need to change that? What do i have to do?

put your 3t drive into another computer and go to disk management and  partition it as GPT then reformat it as NFTS and initlize it and mark it as active take back to your build and install windows.

It doesn't work because of the normal standard, non efi/uefi bios! Suggestions? I don't find an uefi bios for my board.

I dont have an uefi bios so not sure what is going on. Have you tried to email Gigabyte support to see what they suggest?
