I bought this board recently and it doesn't want to start up at all. (no fans spinning, nothing) The green lights on the board which indicate that the board has power don't even light up once you connect a plug into the power supply.
I checked all the principle connections and everything seems fine from that side.
Here's my specs
Power Supply: Raidmax RX-450K 450W ATX12V
CPU: Athlon II X2 240 Regor 2.8GHz
Ram: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Add on GPU: None

Is the PSU OK? Although it might be new, when you switch it on does the internal fan work? These kind of problems are normally caused by a bad power supply.

I tried another power supply along with the other one on my case and the board still doesn't turn on (I don't even get a green light on the board). The internal fans of both power supplies don't do anything whatsoever when I switch them on. Basically nothing happens when I switch it on. I also took it out of the case to check if there were any shorts and nothing happen.
Here's the specs on the other power supply.
COOLER MASTER Elite 460W ATX12V V2.31

It is strange that when you switch on the psu you are not getting any life. If the PSU fans are not spinning when you switch it on there is an obvious fault there. Have you checked your power lead and also your power socket?
If I have misunderstood and the PSU is firing up OK can you test what voltages it is outputting before you connect it to the chasis/Mobo?

I tested the PSU on another computer and the PSU worked just fine with it. The MB doesn't seem to be getting any power( no green light) at all so it's not surprising that the power switch on the case is non responsive.
