Got a GigaByte G33M-S2H , the specifications say: DIMM Voltage = 1.8 V.
Now I received Geil memory with a voltage of 2.0 V.
Question is: does the board detect the DIMM specifications and increase the voltage to 2.0 automatically or do I have to manually increase it via BIOS setting "DDR2 OverVoltage Control"? (The "Over" is confusing me...)

If you are not having any problems just leave it a lone. That is how it pickup the older memory.
That was the default setting. You can go in and change if you want. Changing shouldn't cause any problems.

dmdilks, thanks for your reply.
I also contacted Gigabyte support and they actually replied within 24h. Good support!
They wrote that the memory controller supports RAM up to 2.1 V.
They suggested to set system voltage to "manual" and to adjust the DDR2 voltage to the required value.
