Well im in search of a z77 board but have noticed that all the best ones have been plagued with issues and have been discontinued so will there be any new z77 offerings or maybe new revisions of some of these boards ???

No because they are into the z87 boards. Plus the z87 are having they problems too.

I am not sure what you mean by major issues?
In the past 18mths I have put systems together with
GA-Z77X-D3H,G1Sniper M3 and GA-Z77-D3H without major issues AFAIC
Also Asrock Z77Pro4 and M versions
Also Asus Z77 V Pro and M versions +sabertooth
All have been Win 7 builds and mostly overclocked on air to 4.4 or 4.5GHZ with ivy 3570K or 3770K
They all perform much the same some have a few more bells and whistles and the gigabyte uefi has finally
caught up with Asrock and Asus.
Often better value can be had by not upgrading to the latest Z87 and Haswell as in reality the real world
performance differences are small.
The early P67 boards still offer tremendous performance and are among the best overclockers and can
be purchased very cheaply now.

I have to agree on that one 100%. Intel comes out with new CPU's in 1150 & 2011 board.
The only change that can see in maybe a little better video and the CPU is a little easier to OC.
Other than that no big change. But the thing is how many people do really use the CPU video?
