Where are you setting up the controller on? Intel or Marvell. Those are Marvell controllers.

Don't understand what you are saying

1. The blue ports are sata2 ports Intel

2. The white ports are sata3 ports Marvell.

If you are running a SSD that is sata3 it has to run on the Marvell controller.

On that board the Marvell controller is the fastest controller on that board. Sata3 6gbs.

When in windows it will show your sata3 drive as SCSI and the sata2 as ATA.

Plus if you install windows as a IDE controller. You what to change it to AHCI in the bios the computer might not boot to windows.

You might have to do this first. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=313676
