Title: g1.sniper z87 memory recommendation
Post by: gerrard77777 on January 09, 2014, 10:32:48 am
Hi. I planning to buy this motherboard, but i'm very worried about memory compatibility. So many threads with complains. Can you recommending 2x8 gb memory, which is absolutely stable with g1.sniper z87? I prefer geil potenza/corsa/veloce because is inexpensive. Thanks in advance and sorry for my english, but hope to understand me, what i mean.

Most people that are having problems with the 87 boards use 4 sticks.

Just check the list they have on the Gigabyte site for that board.

You should be fine if you just using 2 sticks.

I check g1.sniper z87 compatibility list and only this model is compatible and 8gb per stick - GEIL 8GB GOC332GB2400C11AQC http://www.geil.com.tw/products/showSpec/id/328 . I can't buy 4 sticks. But i can buy one of this dual channel kit http://www.geil.com.tw/products/showSpec/id/337 . Are they is the same? And any problem, if running 1.65v? Thanks.

evo corsa in g1.sniper supporting list is cl11. Can I get cl9 or cl10? If cl11 is supported, is that mean cl9 and cl10 is too supported? Oh, my english is terrible, but hope to understand me.
