Title: Motherboard Z87X-D3H - Audio problem
Post by: 5a2v0 on January 11, 2014, 06:22:08 pm
Hi, I write from Italy, so excuse me for my bad english.
I bought a Z87X-D3H on October 2013. For the first month everything worked normally, but now i have this problem:

From the speakers I can't hear anything !! I tried with other speakers but nothing changed. If I turn up the volume to max and play an mp3 I can hear a very very low sound only from one speaker !!
All drivers are installed !! I tried a format and a clean install of Windows 7 x64 with reinstall all drivers but nothing changed !!
If I plug an HDMI cable to motherboard and select the tv over hdmi as "default output" for audio, I can hear sound normally  from tv's speakers !!
I tried a BIOS update from F5 to F7 but nothing.
I tried also to umount and then remount the mainboard from the case but nothing.

So, only the audio over 3,5mm jack have the problem !!!
What can be ?

I'm not yes this will work but go into the bios and change the Audio Controller from auto to enabled.

It does sound like it and I would RMA the board. When you plug in the HDMI you are working off of the video card sound.
