Title: B85 - Lan Optimiser - Win 7

Hi All,

Have been looking around fora  while trying to find a win 7 version of the lan optimiser for series 8 boards, and cannot seem to find one should I

1) use a win7 version for series 7
2) use a win 8 version for series 8
3) wait for a win7 release for series 8

I am using win 7 x64 and the B85-HD3 board, and would really like to use the Lan Optimiser for my game traffic, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated

I have check on the net for some info on this and there is nothing. It is like Gigabyte has jump on Microsoft ban wagon for windows 8 & 8.1.

Why I don't know what is going on, but they have started on some of the boards. No more drivers other than 7 & 8.

Windows 7 & Xp are # 1 & 2. Windows 8 & 8.1 are like a little over 10% OS used over the world.

Plus the only reason it is even that high is because of pre-build computers. You are force to take it with Dell, Hp, Acer, Sony, & who ever.

You can try and talk to Gigabyte about this, but more likely you are going to get nothing.

Hey All,

I was coming to that conclusion dmdilks!!

however, being the crafty sort I am, I went into the motherboard downloads via support and downloads (not through the motherboard page) selected rev 1.x and voila its there. Seems no win7 support on rev 2.0 (which is displayed on the motherboard page) but if you have a 1.x you're in luck if you go through the support page. Also works if you download the app centre thing and go to updates.

I hope this helps anyone else that has this issue

(although still cant get the bloody on/off charge utility to work ¬¬)

I'm not saying that you are wrong, but when I go to the site I have to click on the version 2.0 board to see it. But glad you found it.

When I went there I just look at one version the first time. Plus not knowing that Gigabyte would do something like that.
