Title: GA-970a-DS3 Rev3 Bios FD + FX 8320

Well i have question.I m thinking of buying FX 8320 CPU on this mobo but sadly i saw on CPU Support List of the mobo There no FX 8320 CPU or FX 8350.
So i m wondering i saw lot of ppl saying that they run this Cpu on this mobo but some say they have problems because they have rev 1.0 or 1.1 ...
But i have Latest rev and Bios So should i try? I also hear from some guy That Gigabyte tech support didn't update CPU Support List..

Wait , How you mean ? It's not gonna work properly ? Not fast like on better motherboards?

Post by: dmdilks on January 25, 2014, 10:04:02 pm: By the support list it does say Fx-8300. But there is no FX-8300 for sale that I can find. Only the 8320 & 8350.

Plus I read the other day somebody said that they have the 990-FXA - 1.1 - board and ran a FX-9370 on it.

That board doesn't support that CPU but it ran. I don't know how good but did run.

I'm not saying it will work and I'm not saying it will not work either. That is up to that you on taking a chance or ask support.

Again, if it's not in the CPU list the risk is all yours... get a matching CPU or mobo and you're safe - end of story!
