Title: R9 270X PSU requirement

Hello, i was wondering is it safe to use my Gigabyte R9 270X  card with an LC POWER 600W power supply? Apperently the PSU can provide around 42A on the 12V rail although it has only one 6+2 PCIe power connector, so my question is that could i use a Molex to 6Pin PCIe connector to power my card since i have only one 6+2 PCIe power connector on my PSU. Thanks in advance.
