Hi,
I have a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L Dual Channel DDRII 800 mother board.
I had installed windows & ultimate onto it and i had not used the computer for a while (A year). Now when i turn the computer on my windows loads till just before the Starting windows screen and then a blue screen appears saying that 'the current version of BIOS is not ACSI compatible. Try updating your BIOS.'
I then download the BIOS update for my motherboard from thee gigabyte website, I copy the three files contained on the zip file onto a flash drive with the help of another computer and i try to update the bios using 'q-flash' feature available on the BIOS setup page. I even tried using q-flash feature provided during POST. But either ways it shows that no flash drive is found even though i have inserted the pen drive on the motherboard provided port.
I even enabled the usb options on the peripherals option on BIOS setup.
Please can someone solve my problem. Thank You.

Is there everything else on the USB drive or just the update files. When I do it that is the only thing on the drive.
Plus make sure that the drives is fat-32 and not NTFS. One other thing you can try doing it in dos.
Here is a link how to do that: http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1142390
