Title: Disable USB3 in bios
Post by: dirtydan on February 24, 2014, 03:12:36 pm
Where do I disable USB3 in the Bios? I see a few entries, I don't use it now nor do I plan to in the near future. Thanks.

You don't have to disable them if you won't be using them, just use them as USB 2 ports

I'm occasionally getting this error in DM. I have the latest Etron drivers installed.

The USB 3.0 Etron controllers can be disabled in BIOS.You have there 2 usually available , the F_ one - front and R_ rear.

Having in mind the issues ,similar to what i randomly had with my 970A-UD3 i would say they will never work as they should ,so disabling them might be a solution.
Why is this happening is beyond logic and in my case drivers or BIOS-es never solve anything.
Those controllers just stopped working randomly.

If you want USB 3.0 to work properly on Gigabyte AMD boards get FM2/+ boards ,no Etron chips in there.
