Title: GA-F2A88X-UP4: what is post code 55?
Post by: Kiaxa on February 28, 2014, 04:33:21 am
I have the GA-F2A88X-UP4 and at boot I always see the post code 55 pop up at least once when booting and according to the manual, codes 50-55 are memory errors.

I am wishing to know what 55 specifically means and if it is connected with a problem where when I save and exit the UEFI I get an a single 8 on the post led followed by a looping post cycle.

My specs:

A10-6790K

2x4GB G-Skill at 2400MHz

Bios version F5b

You can try removing all but 1 stick of ram and see if it quits and gives you error 55. If it post fine then turn off and try each slot if it works in all of them start over with next stick till you have tested them all then try running off 2 sticks. Code 55 is a memory error code.
