Title: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P Memory problems
Post by: DTrax on March 12, 2014, 01:43:43 pm
Hi all,

I just bought a new Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard with AMD FX 6300 (3,5 ghz) + A-DATA 8gb 1600 mhz.

All seems well but it wont boot in any kind of OS. When i try to boot somewhere it restarts immed. In BIOS everything seems fine as i can see every information about my gear installed on the mobo. I already tried to lower the ram voltage, or frequency and all kinda stuff, but nothing worked so far.
I even re-flashed the BIOS but that didn't help also. Does anyone had similar problems and is it fixable, cuz I can say that i spent all of my money and i don't want to buy new hardware at the moment.

P.S. I was able to somehow get into safemode and windows alerted me because of my page file. I am 90% sure that its a ram issue but I don't know how to configure it. I think Gigabyte should make a new BIOS version with more ram modules supported.

Any answer would be appreciated. All the best!

OK. It may not be the memory I am not sure at anything. I've managed to install Windows XP and tried again to install 7 but that didn't help. Come on guys?! I'm 100% sure somebody had same problem as me... Please share some intel! Thanks

Sorry, I was going to reply myself here, that the PSU was faulty. I fixed it with another one. Thanks for the monologue in this forum :)
