Hey all,
So I have a G1 Sniper with some Kingston RAM, 32gb's (Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB (2x8GB) 2400MHz DDR3 CL11 DIMMs w/XMP (KHX24C11T3K2/16X) which doesn't want to boot using the XMP Profile running the ram at 2400. The ram is on the supported memory list, BIOS is updated to the latest revision... anyone have any insight?
Cheers

Likley something to do with support limitations re CPU or for example variability of the
cpu onchip memory controller -ivy bridge cpu's can vary quite a lot and may need some bios tweaking
re voltages......you dont say which specific socket type sniper board

The thing is that the book is telling you yes you can run 2400 memory. But the thing is what does this mean (2400OC).
What it means is you have to OC your CPU a little to get the memory to work. Sorry I don't OC anything so I can't help you on that.
You can go over to the OC threads and ask over there if you don't know how. The 1600 & 1333 you don't have to OC
DDR3 3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2600(O.C.)/2500(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)
/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)
/1600/1333

Thanks DMDILKS! I searched a little and found a thread regarding a similar issue and the steps to OC enough to take advantage of the 2400... With the XMP profile enabled and the CPU OC'ed I am now booting without issue... thanks all for your support!
