Title: USB ports Z87X UD5H
Post by: Dirtnapper on March 21, 2014, 04:45:41 pm
Well, I have started to have issues with the usb ports - front and back. My Logitech unifying receiver cuts in and out frequently; like right now as I type this.. I also have a Canon scanner on a usb port(back) and it too will stop working. Anyone else? Ideas?

Thanks.

Might as well try the new F9 final bios:

http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_ga-z87x-ud5h_f9.zip

Must use @BIOS to flash F9, QFlash will not work on F9:

http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Utility/mb_utility_atbios_8series.exe

and the latest Intel USB 3 driver:

Post back and let us know.

I got the BIOS, I'll try that; the usb link did not work.

Thanks.

Here is something I just posted on a similar usb topic that you should try:

This driver, intel_chipset_9.4.4.1006 contained usb fixes and is working for me with Win 7.
It may be newer than the one you are using.

I finally heard back from Gigabyte, they will let me send it in to be checked. However, as with most of us, I need this computer and to be without it for some time will be a problem. I wish I had kept my other mobo set up for awhile in the event of something like this happening.  If I can send it in I will  post back the outcome.
