Title: AM1 Motherboard
Post by: fadsarmy on April 14, 2014, 06:30:38 am
Just noticed a couple of Gigabyte AM1 motherboards in mATX. Is a ITX AM1  board in the pipeline? Ideal for htpc build.

They are both ideal for HTPC ,the problem is that i can t still find the HDMI one for sale :)

I don t understand why they have not released one micro atx with all video outputs and one with only one expansion slot (ITX).

Not all people buy them to connect the video to some old CRT stuff.

You can use the micro ATX and make a HTPC and Router machine ,2 in one in same time(Ubuntu LTS and OpenSuse can achieve this). Thus the ability to install other LAN cards is nice.

Keep in mind with micro ATX you can even make a small gaming machine if the video card is a powerful one.Seen some guy on you tube playing BF 3 with an ATI 6850 ,30-40 FPS at high detail on 1080p :)
