Greetings all :D
My Gigabyte motherboard has served me well over these past few years but I have finally decided that it is the time for the all timely upgrade. I thought I'd go with a processor first and there's one I've got my eye on at the moment, however, that's where I need help.
My motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-790XT-USB3 rev1 and my current CPU is the AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965.
I'm looking to upgrade to the AMD FX 8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor 4.00GHz Piledriver Socket AM3+.
Does this look at all like a possibility? ???
Thanks BTW!

Hi there,
sadly not on your current motherboard. If you go for the FX 8350 CPU you will also need to get a new motherboard.

Both these boards have •8+2 phase CPU VRM power design, which is very good. The 970 model doesn't have as many options when it comes to using multiple video cards. Both support the FX-8350.

I would go with this board and if you can find a Rev 3.0 that one will take all the CPU's out there like this one.
