Title: OC Force Won't Post!
Post by: KFume on May 28, 2014, 08:38:23 pm
Hey guys,

Posted on another forum with no luck maybe I can get some help with this issue. I bumped into a strange issue with my OC Force. I took apart my system to apply Liquid Pro to my motherboard block and GPU blocks, also my CPU (Which is delided) when I assembled it it wound't post. After clearing CMOS, shorting my battery check all the connections it still wouldn't post. I took all my blocks apart to make sure the TIM didn't leak, it was fine. I reassembled it, but it still wont post. The only thing I can get to work is the ignition button. So stressful, I'm hoping I can find a solution here. Thanks.

I can only ask by what you wrote. Your Video card does the card take 6 & 8 pin plugs? I know some plugs come with 6 pin plug with a 2 pin add-on. Did you forget to put that 2 pin plug in.

Do you have onboard graphics that somehow got set to onboard? Reaching for straws here because if it worked before had to be something that happened when you worked on it.

Cant count the times that someone comes in and says will you fixed the brakes last year and now my AC doesnt work...lol

I tried my onboard graphics, I also tried clearing my CMOS, which in theory would reset my onboard graphics to use my GPU's. I also tried two different PSU's, different CPU's, Also RAM and tried my B_BIOS with no luck. I can't seem to find the problem here... Hmm.. What could it be...

Take the battery out for 12 hours sure is weird as much as you took it apart and put in different parts youd think you would have found something if it wasnt plugged in. Wrong plug in the cpu sockett if it is possiable. figure you have an 8 pin going to cpu power is it right cable oriented right?

I had modded extensions cables for all the cables, removed them and hooked up the PSU directly to the motherboard. It's strange, I will try removing the battery for 12 Hours then I will report, thanks autotech. If that fails I will have to tear the whole rip apart and get it on the test bench.
