Title: ga-8ig1000mk power on problem

Hi i have the gigabyte ga-8ig1000mk rev. 1.0 .Work fine without problem with a pentium4 3 ghz fsb 800 and memory kingston ddr400.I have to open pc about 2 weeks.Try to turn on the pc and not work.no power on.The psu tested end work fine,i try with new one with same results clean mobo  conectors try other memory  cpu.The problem remain.Remove mobo from tower try with out hdd dvd vga memory , i have same results.The mobo is dead.Leave about 2 hour end try egain.Now workin ,mobo turn on and work perfect.If remove power cable from psu end press power button end replug power cable mobo no work.No power on.whenever he wants work.wηat to do help me !!!!.

You are talking about a 10 year old motherboard. It is good that it has lasted this long. I myself would replace it before you fry anything else. Of course it probably wouldn't matter as I doubt you could find replacement parts for what you have.

thanks.This mobo is second hand end i have not idia how used is.the contition of this mobo is real good.work from me whitout problem about 1 day  for testing.buy this for 10 eyro.

I try mobo this morning end work.update the bios with new version end now i have not problem.is strange bios make this problem????.Now is for testing !!!

The god of motherboard i help me!!!.I have the same problem before, with a SOCKET 775 gigabyte mobo.I fix it with same way.
