Title: memory issue with Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1600C9
Post by: Hitkic on June 30, 2014, 01:47:35 pm
Hi, recently I bought Corsair kit set 2x4gb memory ram CMX8GX3M2A1600C9. When I put in the ram I unable to boot up the windows. It always stuck in the loading OS, starting windows(without logo) page. The ram is sitting on 1 and 3 slot
When I switch back to the old 2 x 2gb (value set) ram, same slot, the windows will load with no issue.
Help anyone?

It is the ram not the motherboard I would contact corsair support and maybe they will exchange them for 2 that work. Or if brand new return them for another type.  Those are not on the QVL so no telling what is going on with them.

I change a new set of ram and still the same. Hmm so this set not compatible with the motherboard?

I would say because the one ram works in the slots you are testing then it has to be a memory fault. Otherwise I don't see the corsair ram on the Qualified Vendors List

Sometimes you can get what isn't on list and it will work but not always. If you want guaranteed to work with that board you find some that is on the list.
