Greetings:
I recently purchased the GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 and an i7-4790K. However, I am unable to unlock the processor in the BIOS. The board shipped with F4 BIOS (didn't unlock with that one), so I flashed it to F6, still no unlock. When I select the processor multiplier, it says "Auto" but does nothing when I hit enter or double click on it. I also see that the BIOS does have some settings to auto overclock, but the processor listed is the 4770K. Am I missing something, or is it that Gigabytye has not updated the BIOS to unlock the 4790K? Thanks.

In bios where it says auto hit the + or - key instead might work better for you as enter or double click does nothing.
Make sure you hit f2 for classic bios I don't use the UEFI bios to overclock with. When the UEFI comes up just hit f2 go to classic and you are set.
They will have to come out with a new bios for auto overclock. I know when I started my 4790k it was at 4.489 so I had to set it down to 4.0 until the break in is up.
