Title: Gigabyte z97x SOC Force
Post by: gerico on July 15, 2014, 10:14:56 pm
Hey guys,

Ive got a gigabyte z97x soc force and Ive been struggling to get all my fan headers working.

Fans sys header 4 and 5 have fans plugged in and work however my 4 pin header plugged into sys fan 4 isnt spinning. Ive tried it im sys fam 3 and the same thing. However if i try it in sys fan header 5 it works a treat so the fan def works.

I went into the bios, and set the sys fan speed voltage and tried manual and full speed and both didnt make a different. However when i initially set fan speed to full and restarted it did spin briefly before stopping.

Does this sound like a mobo problem?

Bios v. F7a

Yeh I don't know how to tell if it's a Bios issue or a motherboard fault. I've looked several times and and I can see a fan in sys fan 3 in the bios and it's speed but 4 just isn't spinning. Very concerning!
