Title: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI: continous beeing
Post by: Herman24 on July 18, 2014, 12:06:35 am
Hi,

I'll start out by explaning my problem. I've just bought a few parts things for my computer, and now when everything is at their place my motherboard just starts beeping when I turn it on and after a few seconds the computer restarts. I know that continous beeping means power error but I've taken everything out and put it back. And I've tried using my old PSU but the problem still remains. I've beeng trying for find the problem all day but without success.

The new parts I purchased
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard
Intel Core i5-4690K 3.9GHz Socket 1150 Boxed
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler
Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 1600MHz 8GB.
Antec - HCG-900

I don't know the name of my harddrive since it's very old and I took it from a different computer. But my grapich card is Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5. I've even had a friend who is better than me with computers and he's got no clue about what the problem might be. So I hope you guys might help me find the problem.

Best thing to do is start it with just basics. I stick ram, cpu, dvd drive and hard drive. Video card if you don't have on-board graphics. only keyboard and mouse plugged in with monitor. See what happens then.
