When powering on i get a single beep then it stays on the gigabyte screen. I hit tab to go into bios and it takes a while before it goes and allows me to go into bios. I change boot order to CD, install a windows 7 cd and it does nothing. Sometimes it will go to the windows 7 splash screen but moves so slow then reboots. Disconnect hard drives and still goes into bios really slow. Changed RAM. I'm stuck

Make sure there isn't any dust build up in PSU cpu cooler and so on. Sounds like ones I have worked on that were overheating. try that first and post back specs of computer with PSU make and model and steps you have already tried also please.

I can only go by what has worked for me so I would try a different PSU first off just borrow one from a friend or at one point I bought one from bestbuy brought it home ruled out PSU and returned it next day. Sure does seem like a heat or power problem but as far as that goes could be ram but usually you can run memtest to rule out memory problems.

You'll never believe what it was. I believe a corrupt bios, I called gigabyte and they had me download bios f11 and used q flash to install it. Once that was done i put the hard drives back in and it booted fine. Thanks for your help
