Hello!
I have a question about the BIOS of the motherboard, but I would like to inform you that I am Brazilian and if there are any spelling error is due to the translator I'm using to post my question.
Come to the point:
I recently bought a motherboard from Gigabyte Model "GA-78LMT-UBS3 (rev 5.0) and place 2 sticks of memory with 4 GB capacity each.
However the OS only recognizes 7.98 GB of usable memory. I wonder what can I do to make my system recognize the 8GB installed?

The memory is being shared with may you video if you are using on board video.

But my video is offboard, as might be being used in onboard?
I disabled the onboard in the BIOS, it would be another type of problem?

Hello, I come to inform you that already got the necessary information to know what really happens:
My motherboard comes a technology called "Standard PC Architecture," and this tenoclogia handle these 18 MB of RAM for your excluzivo use.
But anyway, thanks for replying!

You have no problem in there.Your RAM is being fully used. Some RAM is always hardware reserved and not passed to the OS to be used.
