I have two WD 250 Caviar hd's I put into the system. However, they do not show up and I do not see them in BIOS as well. They are on the Marvel ports, GSATA3 6/7. Intel ports are full.  The Marvel driver and  storage utility are both installed. I would like to use them for extra storage. Thanks.

Stupid question but, you have enabled the Marvell Controller in BIOS?

Checked BIOS and it looks ok.

Update: I switched the hd's to the ports 0 and 2 and they now show up. It appears maybe  ports 1 and 3 might have an issue. I also updated BIOS to F9. Any ideas on this?
Thanks.

I have a Xship from Gigabyte due in Monday, I hope the replacement board solves this Marvell issue as well as the USB ports.

Got the replacement, however, only one port on the Marvell chip works. Tried different hd's and cables from the Intel chip and only port0 works.  ??? I also got the same rev 1 mobo, not a newer revision.
