Hi,
I meet the problem first time, mobo modyfied for xeons LGA771, I have instaled X5450/60/70 and E5440/50 and not dicsower the issue.
In view of that I'm using GA-P35-DS3R I sold the EP45.
New owner instal win7/8 and in system cant see all cores of the cpu.
Is it any settings in bios responcible for the issue?
Thanks in advance for help.

in the lower left pic that is just how many cores it uses to start with. That is also default I have the quad core and mine reads 1 also. Download allcpumeter and it will show cores you are using while windows is running.

Open windows task manager. Ctrl, Alt & Del. Once in there click on performance tab. It should show the # of cores.

One other place to look is in device manager. Click on the CPU and it should show 2 CPU's. I don't understand what the problem is.
If it is Dual CPU it is showing two CPU's in task manager right. If the CPU is sitting a idle it will only use enough the GHz's or power that it needs.

Don't understand it myself it is showing two cores. Even cpuz is showing 2 cores in first screen shot at lower right.

but Xeon E5450 is quadcore, with older mobo ga-p35-ds3l, ga-p35-ds3r 4 cores no any problem, here maybe is soemthing with bios settings?
The cpu was testet first with ga-p35-ds3l OCCT linpack and I'm sure was 4 cores

That CPU is not supported on those boards. Look at the CPU list. That might be the problem.

sure is not, oficialy not- is mod. the same is with my another mobos GA-P35-DS3L GA-P35-DS3R oficialy not supported, however after mod is supported, on CPU adapter LGA771 to LGA775 and bios with microkodes for xeons and thats it.
With the mobo from beginung was a bit starnge situation, from batch 10 pcs of E5450 SLBBM only 5 was runing, I thought that I got not working cpus, but then put them and test on GA-P35-DS3L and all working corectly.
I thought that are 2 options
0-not working
1-working
but it seams that is 3rd one working in 50%
Tusday I will prepare clean win7 and hope I will find item working 100% with the mobo
Will let know about result
