Title: Can't boot BIOS.
Post by: BLUEPUPIL on September 21, 2014, 04:27:03 pm
I need your help. My MB is GA-Z87X-UD3H. After shifting two things in BIOS it's impossible to boot it with F2 or Delete. First thing was Bootup Numlock State  set as Disabled. Second change was Fast Boot set as Ultra Fast. Attempts with Num Lock button on the keyboard were fruitless. Any help or opinion will be appreciated.

What OS are you running?

If it is Windows 8/8.1 you can enter BIOS using the recovery options.

If it is not Windows 8/8.1 then the only option is to clear CMOS.

Win7-64

Yes, but what'll happen to my two Raid-1 arrays, hooked to INTEL-ICH10R and Marvell controllers. I can install Win 8/8.1 from Win 7 without need to use BIOS to boot from DVD, USB etc.

After some strenuous days, let me report back: 1..From win-7, I manage to install win-8.1 on another partition. But with this type of installation (without boot), was impossible to reach BIOS via win-8.1.  2..During the second installation I erased the two partitions on which win-7 and win 8.1 were installed 3..Quit and Restart 4..Somehow the BIOS get the information that, there is no operating system and mercifully allow me to boot (pres any key to boot...), to chose from where to boot (F12) and finally to enter BIOS (F2/DEL).
