Title: X58-UD3R: What PSU?
Post by: miro4582 on September 28, 2014, 10:51:53 pm
Hi all. My configuration is:
Motherboard: X58A-UD3R
Processor: i7-930
RAM: OCZ 2200MHz
Video card: Asus 9800GT

I want to ask what PSU do I need for this configuration? My previous one was Cooler Master GX-750W, but it burnt out last month. So I wondered if I can buy a new one with lower watts[e.g. Corsair VS Series 650W (CP-9020051-EU)] and still run the configuration normally. And if one day I decide to buy a better video cards and put them into SLI will 650W be enough for this?

You should be fine with that PSU by the spec single rail with 50 amps. Plus with that board you have to stay with 2.0 video cards. So you should be fine there too.
