Title: Gigabyte Gaming 5 boot loop after bios update
Post by: Jimmy-Z on October 13, 2014, 08:25:59 am
Hi all. The board worked fine with the original F3 bios. After I updated it to F7c, it runs a boot loop. It gets as far as the Gigabyte logo, then a black screen for 30 seconds, then restarts. I tried with minimal hardware plugged in, that made no difference :(
Can't get into the bios or select a bootable flash drive to boot from

Try to Clear_CMOS.

Btw,
BIOS F7g is out on TT forum.

Did that. Shorted the pins out & no change. Is Q-flash plus maybe case sensitive? I had the bin part lower case & it wouldn't read the flash drive

I managed to get Q-flash plus working. Took 3 different flash drives (all fat32) & several reboots :D

Thanks for the tip about the F7g bios. That did the trick
