Title: BIOS Question
Post by: Amorelia on October 16, 2014, 05:47:56 am
Hi, can anyone point to a resource which outlines what the different BIOS revisions do?

I have a Sniper M3.  BIOS version F3.  Works fine with my EVGA GTX670, but when I replace that with a Gigabyte GTX970, it hangs at the POST screen.  I have 2 of the GTX970s, both do the same thing,  so am not suspecting a DOA GPU.

EVGA back in, works fine again.  So I look to the MB BIOS. F9 is the latest release,  with F10f as a Beta. A very old Beta, but still a Beta.

So I don't know which one to flash. I suppose I could try version F9, see if that works.

Thoughts?

Try F10f.....if same, ask GB Technical Support for BIOS update regarding GTX970 video cards.

Flashing motherboard BIOS  to F10f fixed it.

Thanks,

I have a ga-z77x-ud3h rev 1.0 mobo with an f9 bios and currently running a evga gtx 660ti. I have bought a evga 970 then proceeded to install it and now it hangs just at my bios splash screen and the post code i notice on my mobo is a 62. so will updating my bios to f20e fix it or what bios should i update too as f20e is a beta bios.
