I have a eikon digital privacy manager fingerprint reader which works fine but when I switch the PC off the light on it stays on. Is there a way of stopping this in the bios?
I have a GA-P55A-UD3 (rev. 1.0) Bios version F4
I have found that if I switch the pc back on to the windows 7 log in screen and then shut it down again it turns off but its a bit of a pain having to do this. Maybe I will have to wait for a bios fix? Anyone else have this problem?

Hi,
There is F6 bios update
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=3242&ver=#anchor_os
On the new motherboards, USB +vcc (+5v) is always on when the pc is off

Thanks I saw that bios update but the description next to it does not say it gives an option in the bios to switch off the power to the usb ports when its off so I have not got it yet. Unless your sure it does?
I'm sure a lot of people would prefer to be able to switch off the power to the usb ports when the pc is switched off.

On the french forum, many people ask the same question about the USB power, there is no solution except to switch off the power supply.
You can use usb power to charge your device like smartphone, ipod ....
