Title: x99 UD4 and M2 WiFi Slot
Post by: davidst95 on December 27, 2014, 07:09:45 pm
Hi, does the M2 Wifi Slot on the UD4 x99 motherboard use any of the PCI lanes.   I would like the I7 5820K process and run 8/8/8/4.   Also what type of card does it use?   Thanks.

Yes you can find M2 wifi cards example link below.

As for using PCI lanes I am not sure about. will look into it.

It uses the pci lanes but not the PCIE lanes and it is connected to the 2 pci x1 slots. Page 8 of the manual shows you.
