Title: GA-EX58-UD4P, what is the max memory per stick?
Post by: Infusion on January 25, 2015, 11:41:11 pm
Hello, I have a quick question, I want to upgrade my RAM and I'm wondering how many GB's per stick does GA-EX58-UD4P motherboard support? I own i7 920 d0 CPU with it. Thank you.

No larger than 4 Gig sticks for a max of 24 gigs if all slots are filled

So 3x8gb (1 DIMM per channel) isn't possible? Thanks for the answer.

I would update the bios to F13. Plus I still would do what Autotech said. That board is over 6 yrs old. So it could support the 8gb sticks but you might be taking a chance on it. The last real update for the bios was almost 5yrs ago.

Support for DDR3 2100+/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules. I wouldn't go any higher than 1333 on the memory too. Yes you can run higher memory, but run the memory that the CPU will support.

One other thing is why do you want to max out the memory just asking? I ran about 6 of those boards. I have run 6, 9, 12 & 18 gbs of memory. Now this is just me, I feel that anything past 9gbs is really a waste of time.

My bios is updated to F13 since 2011 :) I work in video editing (+CC + grading) as a hobby from time to time projects and I need a lot of RAM. I was planning to get 16gb of RAM anyway. I am getting 1333mhz 16 gb RAM's, so I have place to keep my CPU overclocked to 3.5ghz (with ram multiplier 6).

Again I was just asking about the memory because you have people trying to max the memory. When they are just using the internet and gaming. Plus one other thing too and you might have done this. Make sure all the cores are unlock too.
